About Us: Concordia Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten provides a Christ centered learning experience. The school provides a developmentally appropriate program where each child can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and academically in a safe, secure environment. Philosophy: We believe children learn through relationships and relational settings. We encourage each child toward independence and a sense of self confidence. Experience: Concordia Lutheran School opened in 1985. The school began as a preschool for 3 and 4 year olds. In 1993 a full day kindergarten was added. We also have a Ready-Set-Go class and a half day Transition to Kindergarten class. All teachers are Group Leader Qualified or licensed and have years of experience. Early Learning Program: We encourage discovery and exploration through theme based activities, play, small and large group instruction and large and small muscle activities. There is an emphasis on social skills and emergent literacy. The kindergarten curriculum is designed to meet the Jefferson County Performance expectations. Policies: Children must be 3, 4, or 5 by Oct 1 to enter classes. A non-refundable deposit of $55 is required for preschool registration.
